What a week.

It wasn’t exactly a pretty week for anyone in the NFCW except for ARI (tip of the cap), but that is in the past now. I think it was Voltaire who said, “When life shits on you, wipe some on everyone else so you aren’t the only one who smells.” At least we all have company during the shitstorm that was Week 2.

But, like all good fans, we must focus our attention forward and forget the bad times. Only one last thing awaits us, we have to look at how stupid we were with our predictions.

I was pretty poor overall, and think I am going to change my strategy for next week. I think my dog could have picked better than me. I did somehow dial up two correct predictions for the Cardinals. Go figure.

Overall, I got 3 correct predictions out of 32. AP hates me and couldn’t get those last 16 yards to make my 150 yard prediction work. Fuck that guy.

Here are my correct BOLD Predictions for this week.

ARI @ CHI

  • Palmer has less than 200 yards passing (185 yards)
  • ARI has more rushing yards than CHI (ARI – 115, CHI – 109)

BAL @ OAK

  • Crabtree is the game’s top WR (he gets the nod over Steve Smith’s 150 yards because Crabtree scored and was on the winning team).

DET @ MIN

  • AP bounces back with 150+ yards rushing (134) (seriously, fuck this guy)

BOLD of the Week

We had two superbly BOLD predictions this week. I couldn’t decide which one to feature, so I included both. Neither guy was correct, but I personally think that Loyal went slightly BOLDer than Navorro, maybe that’s just me. You guys can decide (if you can decipher their sentences).

Navorro

  • Aaron Rodgers breaks his nose hours before game time, manages to reset it himself using exactly 6 fingers and 1 toe. Then throws 3 TDs and doesnt let a ball touch the ground 100% completion, then comes out of the closet after the game. All of that. Its bold, you said outlandish nonsense, dont sensor me.
  • My second prediction is that my first one is right. Comes with double the prize money.

Loyal

  • Rams let the Skins in the game somewhat in the 1st half. Cousin faces immense pressure, as Donald continues cause havov in the pocket, pushing Cousins to either Long or Quinn. Cousins will get sacked 5+ Times. He might fumble once or twice from blind side hits. Foles will get hit as well, but his height will allow him to find Kenny Britt, Cook, Austin, and Bailey. Play Action will work with Mason (I think) Cunningham, and MAYBE a little Gurley mixed in. The second half, the Rams pull away from the Skins, with maybe an Austin PR for td..rAMS DEFENSE IS ON FIRE..So it may not be as close as this.

Rams 34  Skins 17

WINNERS AND LOSERS

You guys had another solid showing this week. Several people had at least one correct prediction, with a few guys logging multiple correct predictions. Walter White led the way this week, going 2/2 (that is 100% mfa) on his predictions. Aviator and Charlie each racked up 3 correct predictions (though is picking AP to outrush Hyde really that BOLD Charlie?). Noshoes, Adusoron, and Ras (fake?) all joined the winners circle as well.

SacSig – Niners Win

MrHawk –

  • Rodgers will throw 2 INTs in Green Bay.

That’s it for Week 2. We will have a Week 3 thread up on Wednesday at some point, but you guys can go ahead and start sending in your predictions.

FYI: I will no longer be accepting/tracking things like “Niners/SEA wins.” It is a 50/50 prediction and just isn’t in the spirit of the BOLD predictions. Now, if it is JAX over NE, I will accept that.
