Philadelphia Eagles (5-1)
Dallas Cowboys (5-1)
New York Giants (3-3)
Washington Redskins (1-5)
Great win by the Eagles last night! Best game in a long time. And to think that they still left points on the field. Good time for the Bye week. Now hoping that Sproles knee is a sprain.
Really sux about Cruz. Speedy recovery!
It’s time to believe in the Cowboys. Makes me sick, but they’re ballin
How many more weeks until III returns??? Him starting again is inevitable now
After reading the Giants stomped on the Eagles logo, Fuck them
lol I love how our “old” tackle stuffed JPP in his face.
Eagles with a strange statement game as the offense actually gets their shit together with the defense (are we better in primetime games?)
Also, Cowboys would normally lose a game like that on Sunday, but they came through. Impressive win for them.
SMH Giants…..How did this work out for ya?
“Safety Antrel Rolle claimed the reigning division champion Eagles http://www.csnphilly.com/blog/700-level/new-york-giants-are-doing-lot-talking%E2%80%A6 in the NFC East.”
That question still remains as Dallas looks to be that team now.
I hate when anything is over-hyped. I hate TD celebrations ans sack dances ….
Been a fan of the Cowboys since i was a kid which is a very long time.
There are two ways to looks at the cowboys:
Undefeated: had Romo shook off the rust and had a better first quarter against SF they could be undefeated right now.
0.500 team: they are two ‘Romo miracle scrambles and Williams receptions’ from being 3-3.
Little things make all the difference.
They need to rest Murray. Lets hope he has 150 yards on 4 rushes next week so we can see what randle has.
Either way, the Cowboys have a long way to go be I feel like SB talk is warranted. maybe playoffs but a long, long way to go yet otherwise.
Eagles did screw up last night! THEY SUX!
This is pretty funny.
Trouble getting out of bed after last night’s late-night victory? We’ve got you covered: http://t.co/Zm2BffAyQy
I regret to inform you that I will not be able to attend work today. My sorry ass excuse for a football team laid an egg last night which resulted in consuming mass amounts of tequila and fat, puerto rican hookers. I hope to return to work tomorrow so I can take out my frustrations on your face with my closed fist.
BeasterSundays Analysts are having a tough time swallowing this pill
NFCW & NFCS & AFCWhatever……
Cowboys are ballin & the Eagles are still got room to improve. And they’re BOTH 5-1
Best division in the NFL right now? This one…SUCK BITCHES
I thought the fans acted with class when Cruz was injured last night. I love how the media takes a picture out of context and turns it into something it’s not…
DJ NUGGZ The photo was taken out of context. However MIssanelli deserves a TON OF HEAT for his two cents. When Cruz missed the ball, I cheered. But when I saw him stay down, I knew it was serious & all the joy from being ahead was gone.
“Oh, man I remember Jim would always talk about never getting a shutout. We came so close,” Cole said holding his finger and thumb close together. “But we never got it. I know it bothered him. He really wanted one.
“Now we got that goose egg and it feels good. We did it. We shut them out.”
Trent Coles speaking on Jim Johnson.
Did the NY Daily News make a point of mention the Giants players stomping on the Eagles logo at Midfield before kickoff???? Probably not
The Giants are a better team than what was on the field last night.
HOWEVER, aside from Cruz getting hurt, I DON’T FEEL BAD AT ALL THAT THEY GOT CURB STOMPED IN PRIMETIME!!!!
Shouldn’t spent all week talking shit. A definitely shouldn’t have stomped on the logo before kickoff.
We may have 0 SBs, but you sumbitches scored ZERO POINTS!
FUCK THE GIANTS!
It is safe to assume that the Cowboys & Eagles are among the NFL’s best teams right now.
It’s also kinda scary to think that both teams could be playing even better. Dallas with their ST play & the Eagles with Foles.
If this holds up (I’m looking at you Dallas – thanks to 8-8 history), pretty decent shot both teams make the playoffs and both get double-digit wins
“The Giants waited until the home team was off the field before gathering at the 50-yard line at the conclusion of warm-ups, their cleats digging into the Eagles’ logo. Led by Jason Pierre-Paul, a handful of players began stomping up and down on the emblem in a clear sign of defiance.”
The Eagles weren’t even on the field when this happened? Fucking pussies!
Early on, the Eagles hit on some inside runs, but they did so with Nick Foles under center, not in shotgun. A year ago, the Giants limited McCoy to 94 yards on 35 runs in two games, using a nut stunt to thwart the Eagles’ go-to play, the inside zone. Defenses this year had gotten a bead on when the Eagles were running that play, based on formation and pre-snap alignment. [. . .] “They couldn’t do that [nut stunt] because they didn’t know which way we were going,” said center David Molk. “Back’s neutral, so it made it hard for them to pull the trigger on it because if they’re wrong, they’re really wrong.”
This needs to happen more often… though they’re going to have to figure out either how to pass from under center or maybe line up in the pistol.
Basically it’s the 1 tech cutting across the face of the center before pushing upfield.
Send them back, stick with the black.
Might the Giants take a flier?
The Bills have given permission to Mike Williams to gauge interest in a possible trade.Yes, this is the same Mike Williams that the Bills traded for in April, inheriting a contract that includes $5.2 million guaranteed in 2015. He has just eight catches on the season and was a healthy scratch on Sunday, falling behind the likes of Chris Hogan and Maquise Goodwin. Williams’ agent is going to find a barren trade market. Doug Baldwin snapping at reporters thusly: “We’re frustrated. The
offense can’t f——- move the ball. We’ve got too much f——- talent over
here to not be moving the ball. It’s not on Russ. I’m just saying in
general, our offense, we’re just too f——- good to not be moving the ball
down the field.”
Are they, though? force them to pass, contain Wilson, is that O really talented on the outside? Harvin hasn’t done much… they miss the Tate
Lupo They use Harvin as a fucking Gimmick. Running this god awful sweeps that make me believe that he is on the verge of one hit that ends his season.
The other WRs are average at best. But when they can’t/refuse to run the ball, they’re fucked
While you have to wait until week 17 for Cowboy fans, and whenever Adrian rips the heart from green bloods… I’ll be in disney sipping on a capri sun and standing in line for Dumbo. Fucking suckers.
And to top it all off… when MY TEAM has the 1st PICK!!! (eat is suckers) and drafts Leonard Williams, you dumb fucks will be sitting there waiting like 20 some odd picks to fuck up your first rounder.
REJOICE. Tis good days we’re living in bros!!
CSN Philadelphia is hearing that Darren Sproles (knee) will probably be out a few weeks.Beat writer Geoff Mosher reports Sproles did not suffer an ACL tear when his left knee awkwardly twisted Sunday night. It sounds like some kind of sprain, possibly to his MCL. We’d consider Sproles doubtful for Week 8 when the Eagles come out of their bye.
The Eagles played great yesterday but I still think the bye came at a good time. Sproles may be out a few weeks because he tweaked his knee. It was nice to see Kelce and Mathis on the sideline during last nights game. Getting those 2 beasts, and Kendricks back to this already potent team makes it look more and more like this could be our Super Bowl year.
Skins OL has given up 11 sacks (tied for 8th fewest) in 228 drop backs (5th most). Our OL isn’t playing that poorly in pass protection this year. The QB is making bad decisions, our ST sucks a fat dick, and our D has been better than expected but still can’t get turnovers or generate consistent pressure.
I reallnk Andre Williams wasn’t trusted enough as a pass catching threat. Yet, they never tried to manufacture deception, screens were non-existant, and the Giants refused to attack the middle of the field consistently despite getting a few good plays. Standard KG offense. Jennings was missed too.
What I’m hearing on Darren Sproles: Not out for the year, but probably out a few weeks. There was fear it was an ACL tear, but it’s not.

Frenchie – Casey Matthews is Forgiven You know what would be funny would be to go through the Philly stadium parking lot and place Giants stickers on random cars just to see what the Eagles fans would do to the cars when they come out of the stadium…..

You’re hating a guy you once rooted for blindly due to a change in uniform and seem to be holding him accountable for the Skins many other shortcomings.
D-Jax is most certainly not the Skins problem. A turnover machine at QB, ST that suck, a D that hates turnovers, and a coach who abandons the run are all much higher on the list than a WR who’s been really effective.
“That’s all we were pounding on all week — four quarters — and we did that,” defensive lineman http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/14310/cedric-thornton?ex_cid=null told http://www.csnphilly.com/football-philadelphia-eagles/eagles-d-makes-statement-shutout-giants. “We wanted the shutout so bad and we did it. We rattled Eli early. That definitely was the plan. They were doing a lot of talking. We don’t do a lot of talking, but they amped us up and it prepared us to come out and dominate.”
Darren Sproles has been diagnosed with a slight MCL tear in his left knee and is expected to miss at least one game.Sproles’ official timetable is 2-3 weeks. The Eagles are on a bye in Week 7, face the Cardinals in Week 8 and then the Texans in Week 9. At 5-1, the Eagles won’t rush their valuable punt returner and change-of-pace back. Owners in need of wins can move on from Sproles and not lose much — he was only averaging 5.5 touches per game on offense anyway over the last four weeks. ” It was a dismal and damaging day and night for the Giants. They hoped to
move into a three-way tie for first place in the division, figuring
(like most everyone else) the Cowboys would get beaten by the Seahawks
in Seattle. Well, what do they say about the best-laid plans? The
Cowboys shocked the defending Super Bowl champs 30-23, the Giants were
overwhelmed, and just like that they are 3-3 and in firm possession of
third place, looking up at the Eagles and Cowboys, both 5-1.”—NY Post
Fiversons No Spin Zone southy splooz I am just observing how disconnected he is from the fate of the team. He’s a good player but not going to make the guys around him better. It must have factored into Chip letting him go.
I’m not shattering the earth with epiphany here.
I don’t really care about Jackson on the Skins. He’s playing well, more power to him. I can see why people criticize a guy who posts a picture of himself celebrating a touchdown the day after his team suffers a loss to a rival. You may not have a problem with it, and that’s fair. But it’s a legitimate criticism.
JosephR2225 That doesn’t bother me at all, not in the slightest… He is doing his job… What bothers me more is that we have too many shitty players to win… Anyways, who cares, he plays for another team… Why on earth would you care what he does or posts?
Barnwell throwing some shade to the Cowboys, no mention of them in his top 8 teams.
splooz I thought him tweeting his numbers with the little cartoon of him smoking Nate Allen and gloating…after a loss…was pretty bad…
But I tend to stay away from the DJax stuff…I couldn’t care less what DeSean is doing these days. As long as Maclin is healthy, we’re just fine without him.
Well I don’t personally care what he does or posts… but here we are on an NFCE board commenting on NFCE topics and that’s one of them, isn’t it? I mean at least part of the reason the Eagles let him was, allegedly, his attitude. So I don’t really care what he posts any more or less than I care about what Antrel Rolle says leading up to the Cowboys game next week, but that doesn’t mean I can’t criticize it.
Fiversons No Spin Zone splooz I watched djax a lot on the eagles and there was a huge amount of confusion around why he was let go from my team. of course I would be interested to see how and what he does on the skins (I also live in DC so….). Nothing wrong with that. Human interest. I’m not losing sleep over it.
He’s playing very well. That’s his game and he’s doing a great job of it… but he’s one of 53 guys on the team, and I don’t think it’s out of line to criticize him for celebrating his accomplishments in light of the failings of the other 52. It is still a team game.
What would be the point of this? I understand Jay wants to win games but what is the point of throwing in McCoy?
While those NSFW Black Dude Tweets on Busted Coverage are somewhat funny, they also illustrate why it wasn’t that hard to move on from that Cooper BS last season.
They use “nigga” like the word “and” & “the”. So easy & effortless
Interesting adjustment by Chip:
With Foles under center and the back directly behind him, the Giants had a tougher time diagnosing run plays before the snap. “They couldn’t do that [nut stunt] because they didn’t know which way we were going,” said center David Molk. “Back’s neutral, so it made it hard for them to pull the trigger on it because if they’re wrong, they’re really wrong.”
“A shutout, 27-0, that’s rare,” defensive coordinator Bill Davis told CSNPhilly.com. “I’ve only been a part of a couple shutouts in my career and that’s 20-some years. It’s neat we could do that. The guys know that the bar is set that high now. And we’ve got to strive for that. It was four quarters. That’s what we put up today. It was four quarters of good ball, and that’s what we hadn’t done up to this time.
“We hadn’t put a game out there yet and we finally put the four quarters together and it came out a shutout and I couldn’t be more proud of those guys. Hopefully, we can build off of this. We haven’t had a consistent game until tonight and tonight we did and we know we can do it now.”
===========================Now you get it Billy Boy! Keep it going!
HAHAHAHA Fuck you Stephen Hater
Remember that time the Giants stomped on the Eagles logo before the game and then got shut out?
Fiversons No Spin Zone “Deswood Tome, a spokesman for Shelly, told http://www.wjla.com/articles/2014/10/dan-snyder-washington-redskins-owner-sits-with-ben-shelly-navajo-nation-president-during-game-agains.html in Washington that Shelly was there to support a franchising agreement in which Snyder agreed to sell Navajo art and crafts at FedEx Field.”
Fiversons No Spin Zone How you can say this right now is beyond me. If the Skins have the pick and the right QB is there they might go for him. I know your wish is that IIInjury comes back at 2012 form but odds are he won’t and there is also the chance his knee doesn’t hold up. If they have a shot at the QB of the future Dan won’t hesitate to draft him.
” http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4659/desean-jackson is something special.
Whatever issues were going on with Jackson and Chip Kelly in
Philadelphia, the result was that Washington got itself an outstanding
football player. Jackson is dynamite with the ball in his hands, as he
showed Sunday against Arizona when he scored a 64-yard touchdown and
also caught a 42-yard pass. Jackson has a league-high five catches of 40
or more yards. Just think what he could do if he were in a better
passing game than Washington’s”
cloisterwater I think this was the problem with most of us. People claiming the Eagles offense wouldn’t be as good without him. Justin talking about how Desean was the reason for Shady getting all his yards. I always liked his speed and never have I said he isn’t a good wr.
It is noticeable how much better Jay Gruden is with TOs than Shanahan was. The Skins may lick but Jay’s using his TO’s like a savvy Madden vet…where Shanahan tended to blow them all.
But seriously Jay, throw more fucking screens. Our QBs get blitzed at an obscene rate.
Fiversons No Spin Zone I’m not going back to find the post (largely thanks to Bader, I couldn’t anyways), but they have a pattern of early exits in segments where back-to-back early exits are a part of it.
I think it was either Joey or Lupo that post the years of early exits. By the list of years, 2015 follows the pattern
Amazingly, Cousins and Foles are putting up really similar numbers so far.
Foles – 59.5% 1628 yards 10 TDs 7 INTs
Cousins – 61.7% 1571 yards 10TDs 8 INTs
I think Cousins can start in the NFL but the Skins aren’t good enough defensively or on ST to make up for when he makes a boneheaded throw. Houston, on the other hand, I think would suit him really well.
splooz That’s why feeling good about where the Eagles stand right now isn’t that hard. Foles needs to play better. Yet, they’re 5-1.
If Foles finally gets going, who knows how much better things could be. Still alot of work to do yet
splooz Foles has (luckily) avoided paying for the turnovers in terms of points. He’s still being a bit careless with the football – mostly on plays that are breaking down and he doesn’t want to take a sack.
I give him credit for working on things – he has taken much fewer bad sacks this year, but it has resulted in some off balance and ill advised throws.
As a pass rusher, sure. As a DE no. Especially considering Graham isn’t being double teamed or going up against guys like Peters, Williams and Smith within the division, nor is he playing the number of snaps JPP is. Graham is a situational pass rusher. A better DE to compare him too is Moore.

southy The biggest difference is Foles is a winner. When he took over for the Eagles they were a franchise in despair. When Cousins took over one Washington they were a team coming off a playoff season. Cousins has lost 8 of his last 9 regular season starts while Foles has won 8 of his last 9 regular season starts for the Eagles.
But he only has to do it once in a while. The real problem with JPP is he has no moves other than the bull rush. He needs to talk to Strachan about technique’s. You can’t bullrush guys like Peters, Williams and Smith. They’re almost as strong and athletic ad JPP.
