The NFL Draft is SKA Christmas. We all get a bunch of shiny new toys to dream about their future impacts on our teams. Some of us go to extremes with draft crushes and hopes these player or players fall to their teams. When the planets align and these players do fall to our teams the homerism is magnified to new levels. Think sc0tti and Chris Borland. Well it happened for me. Aaron Burbridge is a San Francisco 49er.
I had a feeling all along this would happen. We let Boldin walk and have not resigned him. He reminds me of Boldin. He is a sure handed possession receiver that can make contested acrobatic catches in traffic. He literally made Connor Cook. When the Niners invited Cook to meet, I knew it was all about Burbridge. They even leaked out stories about how they liked Cook to throw off everyone else in the league so they could steal Burbridge at the end of the 6th round.
Burbridge is a natural leader and playmaker. He was voted captain by his team, Cook was not. He was voted Spartan MVP by his team, Cook was not. All in all Cook is worthless trash I am happy SF didn’t get him. The guy who made the MIchigan State Spartans a top 5 team we did get.

San Francisco isn’t all that deep at WR, so it shouldn’t take long for Burbridge to beat out guys and crack the top 4. It really doesn’t matter if the QB is Kaepernick or Gabbert because Burbridge literally catches everything thrown near him and makes everyone around him better. Burbridge would be the number 1 wide receiver for LA. but they wasted a pick on a nobody named Mike Thomas. He is probably the 3rd best WR in the NFCW as it is right now. Richard Sherman is scared and PP is already burnt. I would not be surprised if Aaron Burbridge is OROY, MVP, and Walter Peyton Man of the Year by this time next year.
