NFC East Predictions – Week 7

Tennessee Titans @ Washington Redskins (-5) 1pm CBS

Announcers – Kevin Harlan, Rich Gannon

Titan fans are saying this is one they can win.   Redskins fans are saying this is one they should win.   These two teams look destined for a high round draft pick.   Neither team has been consistent.   The Skins almost got a backup QB last week, and had they have gotten a Logan Thomas, they might have won that game.   Charlie Whitehurst gets the nod for the injured Jake Locker this week.  The Skins finally get a backup.   I don’t have much faith that the defense will be properly prepared for whoever is behind center week in and week out, but I’ll take my chances with a journeyman career backup.     Kirk Cousins won’t throw an interception party this week.  He’ll do that next week.   I think the Skins offense will move the ball well against the Titans and Charlie won’t have enough to catch up.

Redskins 27 Titans 16

New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys (-7) 4:25pm FOX

Announcers – Thom Brennaman, Troy Aikman

Divisional trap game?  Not a chance.   Dallas should know the challenge New York has posed over the past few years.   New York has their two offensive center pieces out, but they’re fired up after getting embarrassed in Philadelphia last Sunday night.     Tom Coughlin’s teams don’t stay in ruts long.   How high are the Cowboys after going into no-man’s land and coming out looking like heroes?    We’ll find out.   This is a classic divisional game and could go anyway.   Both Romo and Eli have excellent October records.   I’m leaning towards the home team with their full arsenal available to their signal caller.   Eli’s going to be relying on a breakout or two, he must have someone stand up the way Donnell did against the Redskins.

Cowboys 34 Giants 21

Philadelphia Eagles – Bye
