The Real BKOB Report – 2019 – Week 11 Edition

GOOD MORNING SKA USERS. IT’S TUESDAY AND THAT MEANS IT’S TIME TO ARM YOURSELVES… WITH KNOWLEDGE!!!

We interrupt this Last of Us update to bring you an urgent breaking Knowledge bulletin: The NFCW is the best division in the football, and I’ve got the Tables to prove it!

How thrilling it is for me to be covering the only Division that hosts three (3) teams with a winning record, and the Arizona Cardinals. I can’t take all of the credit for this non-Arizona success, Knowledge Seekers, but I like to think that my steadfast and intensive reporting has helped to set a high standard for excellence in the NFCW. The results speak for themselves.

Now, about those Tables. Please enjoy the STATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NFCW Quarterbacks (Ranked by Passer Rating)
R Wilson – 224/327 (68.5%) 2,737 yds, 8.4 ypa, 23 td, 2 int, 114.9 rtg
J Garoppolo – 218/317 (68.8%) 2,478 yds, 7.8 ypa, 18 td, 10 int, 97.7 rtg
K Murray – 254/393 (64.6%) 2,703 yds, 6.9 ypa, 14 td, 5 int, 91.2 rtg
J Goff – 225/373 (60.3%) 2,783 yds, 7.5 ypa, 11 td, 10 int, 82.1 rtg

NFCW Rushers (Ranked by Rushing Yards)
C Carson – 200 att, 853 yds, 4.3 ypa, 3 td, 6 fum
M Breida – 109 att, 542 yds, 5.0 ypa, 1 td, 0 fum
T Gurley – 129 att, 525 yds, 4.1 ypa, 7 td, 3 fum
K Murray – 67 att, 418 yds, 6.2 ypa, 3 td, 1 fum
T Coleman – 104 att, 409 yds, 3.9 ypa, 5 td, 0 fum
R Mostert – 67 att, 348 yds, 5.2 ypa, 1 td, 1 fum
D Johnson – 82 att, 302 yds, 3.7 ypa, 2 td, 0 fum

What’s changed?
The 49ers continue to rack up trivial, unimpressive victories over non-contenders with rookie QBs, backups, and/or Goff — and no one is buying it! Jimmy met his minimum 2-turnovers/game quota against one of the worst defenses in BKOB Report history, and barely squeaked by the last-place Cardinals thanks to some clutch officiating in the final minutes.

That’s all well and good, Knowledge Seekers, but they remain winless against teams with good QBs. Their remaining schedule features a litany of All-Pro signal callers, MVPs, HOFers, and/or Goff. As if that wasn’t challenging enough, the wilting SF Defense has shown signs of severe Boner fatigue: through their first seven games, they had allowed just 11 PPG. They’ve allowed 26 PPG since then. None of this bodes well for Adu and the 49ers, who both peaked too early and seem primed for a Mariner-esque late season collapse.

My Analysis
The Rams Defense experienced the slight statistical bump that is often associating with playing a Trubisky-led team. Just think, if they got to do that 7 weeks in a row they’d probably have the #2 Defense, just like the 49ers.

The Rams are barely clinging to life in the hyper-competitive NFC playoff standings. LA’s remaining schedule will be quite a challenge (notice a pattern?) and Sean McVay’s offense trails Schottenheimer’s in nearly every BKOB Report category, which I think is funny.

Elsewhere in the Division, it remains unclear whether or not the Cardinals will improve on their win total from last year. Unfortunately for them, in this new era of Super-Tanking, 3 wins might just barely net them a Top-10 draft pick. They’ve been swept by the 49ers, and are unworthy of Mike.
