The Real BKOB Report – 2020 – Week 14 Edition

GOOD MORNING SKA USERS. IT’S TUESDAY AND THAT MEANS IT’S TIME TO ARM YOURSELVES… WITH KNOWLEDGE!!!

Tuesday has arrived, Knowledge Seekers, and the NFL has managed to play all of their games! This is terrific news for Stat Worshipers, such as myself. In addition to that, each NFL team has had their bye week – meaning that this week’s Knowledge Tables will be the most accurate yet! It’s causing my Golden Trousers to tighten with delight!!

Out of fairness to the Knowledge Seekers, I’ve been posting stats with “subject to change” distinctions while the NFL has re-arranged their schedule on a sometimes day-to-day basis. This statistical irregularity has left SOME readers (I won’t name names) with the false impression that the Seahawks Defense is, quote, “not good,” end quote. Pish posh, I say to you!

Now that each team has played the same amount of games (13) we’re given a better view of the big picture, which should put an end to some of the good-natured ribbing that I’ve seen taking place in the Comments Section on SKA.

I love to laugh as much as the next guy, and we’re having fun, but let’s take a look to those STATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NFCW Quarterbacks (Ranked by Passer Rating)
R Wilson – 326/463 (70.4%) 3,685 yds, 8.0 ypa, 36 td, 12 int, 109.0 rtg
K Murray – 309/461 (67.0%) 3,231 yds, 7.0 ypa, 23 td, 10 int, 94.7 rtg
J Goff – 324/475 (68.2%) 3,509 yds, 7.4 ypa, 18 td, 11 int, 92.7 rtg
J Garopplo – 94/140 (67.1%) 1,096 yds, 7.8 ypa, 7 td, 5 int, 92.4 rtg
N Mullens – 190/290 (65.5%) 2,218 yds, 7.6 ypa, 10 td, 10 int, 85.7 rtg

NFCW Rushers (Ranked by Rushing Yards)
K Drake – 201 att, 848 yds, 4.2 ypa, 9 td, 3 fum
K Murray – 115 att, 712 yds, 6.2 ypa, 10 td, 4 fum
D Henderson Jr – 125 att, 564 yds, 4.5 ypa, 5 td, 0 fum
C Akers – 109 att, 528 yds, 4.8 ypa, 2 td, 0 fum
C Carson – 99 att, 505 yds, 5.1 ypa, 5 td, 1 fum
R Mostert – 90 att, 453 yds, 5.0 ypa, 2 td, 1 fum
R Wilson – 69 att, 423 yds, 6.1 ypa, 1 td, 4 fum
J McKinnon – 80 att, 315 yds, 3.9 ypa, 5 td, 0 fum

What’s changed?
The Seattle Seahawks pulled off the most lopsided victory for ANY NFCW team this season –  a performance which will live on in NFCW folklore for ages to come. Knowledge Haters like k1 will point out that the level of competition was sub-Tomsula, but as bad as they are the Jets haven’t been blown out by 37+ points since 2016. I’ll bet you didn’t know that, did you? That’s why we have The Real BKOB Report!

So dominant was their performance, in fact, that Seattle’s Total Defense is now completely out of the “Red” altogether, and their Passing Defense is no longer on pace to be the worst of all time! So I guess you could say things are really heating up in the Northwest! You’re probably very impressed.

Meanwhile, the Rams Defense is so gawdy and ostentatious that you almost feel sorry for them. Like a bunch of overachievers, desperately seeking approval in the form of Yellow Highlighting, while failing to win more games than Russell Carrington Wilson and the Mighty Seahawks. Truly pathetic. It doesn’t help their cause that Jared Goff’s all-important Passer Rating is in danger of dipping below the dreaded Garoppolo-line – a place where only the most putrid of NFCW QBs dwell.

Goff has HALF as many Passing TDs as Russell Wilson, and I think that’s funny. He carries a $36.4M cap hit next year.

My Analysis:
The annoying Arizona Cardinals dodged a bullet this weekend, getting to tee off against the Giants’ turnover-prone starting QB, rather than their underrated and fully capable backup QB. This unfair advantage allowed the Cardinals to “Escape from New York” with only their 2nd victory in the past 6 weeks. Some teams just have all the luck.

And now, how about your feedback? Bonus Knowledge: Russell Carrington Wilson needs just 5 TDs to match the Single Season NFCW Passing TDs record set by Kurt Warner in 1999 (when the Seahawks were still in the AFC.) Aren’t you glad you stayed until the end??

Thank you, and always remember: Kill… Danny… O’neil…………………
