Maynard’s Sunday Golf round update of the day: On a gorgeous fall Sunday my friend and I went out to Walter Hall in Everett. Thanks to the shitty Seahawks game on TV it was near empty. It wasn’t a good start as I had left my golf shoes at home, likely distracted from filling up the cooler with beer and ice. How am I going to get out of this muck? After hitting the putting green I felt like I had the speed down and my putter in a good place then it was onto hole #1.
The first 9 resembled something out of a 49ers @ Cards game taking place at the exact same time, my driver was typically slicing right however my irons would clearly make up for that…. usually but no in this case. Have no fear though, my short game is the strongest part of my game! It too would let me down. By the time we made the turn it was clear what needed to change. A double shot Jack and a rum n coke were ordered and almost immediately my inhibitions were flowing. I turned the day around with 3 pars on the back 9 using my newly found power of liquor and not giving a fuck grip it n rip it technique I turned a disaster into a rather lovely afternoon.
