My takeaways from the Eagles-Card game yesterday:
-Maclin is single-handedly justifying moving on from D-Jax. Coop & Matthews probably put any chance (even if slight) of V-Jax becoming an Eagle
-I don’t know what to make of Foles. No one does. He’s not playing bad. He’s not playing good either. Maybe the Eagles need to re-acquire Vick. Maybe Foles needs the threat of someone actually capable of taking his spot to light a fire underneath him.
-Best game of the season by the OL yesterday. They deserve a ton of credit.
-Great game by the Eagles D overall. With the exception of….
-The long TDs were absolute killers. It was upsetting to see that Boykin couldn’t catch Fitz. And Nate Allen….fuck Nate Allen. Cut him. Wolff too. Put a CB in his spot. Hell, even a LB. Can Marcus Smith play safety??? But get rid of Allen. NOW
-Long live Parkey!
-QB Sneak Chip. I know it didn’t work last year against Dallas. That’s no reason NOT to try it yesterday. IT WAS FUCKING INCHES FOR FUCK SAKES! And the OL played stellar for the most part.
-Hire a new Replay Challenge Guy. Clearly he was like this after that Polk run….

I don’t think either QB played particularly well, but the Cardinals real talent, having seen them a couple of times in the last three weeks, is that they are able to make you play their game. They dictate a lot of how the game unfolds on both sides of the ball.

He’s definitely taken a bigger step back than I thought as well. It’s a long season though and we’ll see if he gets better as the run game should when the OL is healthy. Lupo Is it worth it to go for an ADT type system, or just build your own camera/DVR type system? Advantage I see of a company is if there is a fire they will call the FD or the PD for a break in, vs having to have a home made system send a message out and then us call the FD/PD.

oh. well then that will never change. presnap penalties are just that…presnap. play never happened. only time that is different is if the clock is running and sometimes a false start results in a 10 second run off, which can end the game without ever running the actual play.

Nate Allen can’t help but be Nate Allen. And Wolff can’t beat out Allen to get playing time. Unless they’re either going to take a flier on putting Reynolds on the active roster (and playing him – extremely risky) OR have the balls to shift the CBs around so one can play safety (Carroll or Sconces perhaps), gotta think there’s a decent chance this happens

Somehow, Nermal would always fall for it. Like… If Garfield was going to try to get Nermal into a box of some sort, there was a 95% chance he was going to seal it up and ship Nermal to Abu Dhabi. Zach Martin was the only pick there I liked. I understood the other two but they were both a bit of a reach at the time. Drafting a right tackle at #9? Who does that? Oh… Philly. But at #4.
