Been a fan of the Cowboys since i was a kid which is a very long time.
There are two ways to looks at the cowboys:
Undefeated: had Romo shook off the rust and had a better first quarter against SF they could be undefeated right now.
0.500 team: they are two ‘Romo miracle scrambles and Williams receptions’ from being 3-3.
Little things make all the difference.
They need to rest Murray. Lets hope he has 150 yards on 4 rushes next week so we can see what randle has.
Either way, the Cowboys have a long way to go be I feel like SB talk is warranted. maybe playoffs but a long, long way to go yet otherwise.

Skins OL has given up 11 sacks (tied for 8th fewest) in 228 drop backs (5th most). Our OL isn’t playing that poorly in pass protection this year. The QB is making bad decisions, our ST sucks a fat dick, and our D has been better than expected but still can’t get turnovers or generate consistent pressure.

I reallnk Andre Williams wasn’t trusted enough as a pass catching threat. Yet, they never tried to manufacture deception, screens were non-existant, and the Giants refused to attack the middle of the field consistently despite getting a few good plays. Standard KG offense. Jennings was missed too.

Amazingly, Cousins and Foles are putting up really similar numbers so far.
Foles – 59.5% 1628 yards 10 TDs 7 INTs
Cousins – 61.7% 1571 yards 10TDs 8 INTs
I think Cousins can start in the NFL but the Skins aren’t good enough defensively or on ST to make up for when he makes a boneheaded throw. Houston, on the other hand, I think would suit him really well.

When Cousins took over one Washington they were a team coming off a playoff season. 9. It’s the Eagles and Cowboys at the top and then a significant drop off. We’re still a ways from drawing conclusions about the NFC East, but after six games it’s apparent that the 5-1 Eagles and Cowboys are legit playoff contenders. Dallas went into Seattle and beat the defending Super Bowl champs, 30-23, on Sunday. I’m not sure how the Cowboys are getting it done on defense with a no-name unit, but coordinator Rod Marinelli deserves kudos for getting his players to play team defense. But the story of the Cowboys has been their offensive line. It’s as good as there is in the NFL. The Eagles were the decided divisional favorites before the season, and it may be a tad premature to give Dallas the nod yet, but their two meetings in a 17-day span in late November and early December will likely go a long way in deciding who claims the NFC East. Mark those dates on your calendar if you haven’t already – Nov. 27 in Dallas and Dec. 14 at the Linc in prime time.

I enjoyed the resistance to changing the tie rule earlier. There’s no real good reason to keep allowing ties and the resistance seems to be based on the effort it would take someone else to simply re-write the rule to make the game go on until there was a winner.

And for what it’s worth Weech, I think Cousins played significantly better than Russ Wilson did yesterday. Even with his shit 4th quarter he moved the ball all over their D and almost rallied em.
Wilson, IMO, played really bad against Dallas. Granted I didn’t get to watch that much of the game but I saw the 4th and 6th throw (putrid) and the pickle to seal it (also putrid). Did he make any good throws?

Thing with ebola is this, for those of you who have several kids or have lived in a house with a lot of people in it at any time, think back to someone getting a bad case of the runs or something like that. I’ll bet that before long, several people had it, and they all got it from touching things the sick person touched then touching one of their mucus membranes or food. It doesn’t sound a scary as airborne illness, but fomites are pretty fucked up unless you exercise not just good, but VERY GOOD measures. My ex has been a nurse for 15 years and she is the first one to admit that even doctors and nurses can fuck up the protocols when caring for the sick, especially when understaffed and overworked (like the african medical people who are dealing with this pandemic).

All this best team, NFC contender talk etc….shit, I am just glad they have a good shot at breaking the 8-8 thing the past few years (barring no serious injuries). Theu faced what was their toughest stretch and ended 5-1. They match up well with the divison (3-3 is my guess) I am pretty confident against Jax. Leaving Chi Az and Indy left. I knownif they play like they did in Seattle..they can beat each of those teams. But we will see. I just don’t see them losing 7.

If Romo has his normal November, December wont be an issue. If they go 5-5 the final 10 games like they did last year…it looks pretty good. This 5-1 start is big. I dont see them falling that far off.

Last time Romo went 5-1? 2007. Had this season started out as the previous 3, I would be leaning towards another mediocre season more. But 5-1 is a far better start, and it isnt all on Romo this year. The offensive line and Murray are a huge difference so far. Plus the D is playing better than projected. Cowboy fans have reason to feel optimistic. SB? Nah, but playoffs chances are increasing.

I hate injuries, but facing the Giants without two of their top offensive threats (I am assuming, if I am wrong my bad) is an easier matchup for Dallas. And in a league where every single win counts now. You take whatever legal advantage you can get.

I think the Giants will play better but it’s hard to see them close on paper. The Giants pass rush is pretty bad. Now they are facing a great OL and the leading RB in the NFL. They are without McBride and could be without DRC. I think the only way they stay close is to score a lot of points. Good luck with that.
