I haven’t had a chance to get caught up on all the injury updates. What’s the scoop on our 4 teams? I know Doctson is out nursing a minor foot injury and Dallas lost Collins for most of the season with a broken foot. Is there anything else?
Desean hurt his wallet pretty significantly by not showing up for OTAs. Other than that I don’t think there have been any noteworthy injuries. Nolan Carroll and JaCorey Shepherd of the Eagles haven’t participated yet, but they are in the final stages of recovery from injuries that happened last season.
CLOiSTER I’m really dumbfounded that a player would walk give up so much pay. It’s not like there is any dispute going on or ongoing negotiations, either. I can only infer that it is sheer stupidity.
I was sitting in a sports bar last night waiting for my daughter to get through with dance class and I saw a segment on Nick Foles from 2015. There was no sound, so I could only see the graphics without the commentary. The stats were amazingly bad. He was dead last in the most widely used measurements of a QB’s performance like completion %, YPA, YPC, etc. I don’t know if that’s an indictment of Foles specifically or of the Rams organization as a whole. 9 of Fisher’s last 11 seasons have been .500 or below. What a complete shit-show.
The Rams offense is gurley and fisher downs to know offense, so I guess u can cut him some slack… Probably not a lot, but some for sure…

Foles just doesn’t have an NFL arm. What he did in 2013 was a complete anomaly. It was the first go around for Chip’s offense. Both have been exposed ever since.

Mytee32 I’m feelin’ ya. I just bought my daughter a Macbook Pro last month. It’s technically hers, but the intent was to share it in the house. Apple sure has their marketing figured out. They flood the school systems with their computers so that the kids are completely comfortable with the devices and OS. My daughter (11 yrs. old) is already better with the Mac than with a Windows based system.

And I’m interested to see what Keith Marshall can do. I have no problem with it.

They will likely bring Pierre back, that’s the thought at least. Why sign the veteran now when there may be more available after training camps begin? Plus vets don’t need the reps the young guys do so by holding out in sighing a vet, the younger backs are getting all of the work.
There’s some truth in that, but it’s also possible that some backs go down in camp and Pierre gets scooped by another squad.
I’ll never forget the fall of 1991 and watching the greatest football team of all time run roughshod over the NFL. I feel that every football fan should experience a season like the one Washington Redskins fans did in 1991. I really feel for any who haven’t and hope one day they will. What an experience. The city was alive with joy and in love with their local football team.

You think Kirk Cousins is not good? He had zero run game last year. Gruden does a lot of short passing stuff instead of runs anyway in his O. If we just improve slightly it’ll be big. I think Matt Jones has a solid year and ends the fumbles. Guy is huge and has break away speed and no wants any part of him on a screen where he was dominant. I also think 3 new starters on the OL last year will be better this year and adding in our starting caliber C vs’s a total bitch that we had to use is also huge

I fought a 60lb+ tarpon for over an hour, until the leader on my line literally wore out and broke. What a magnificent creature! Multiple jumps, fought & fought & fought. Every time I thought he was done, he took off and striped another 100yds of line off my reel.

I’m sure I’ll be completely frustrated with the lack of blitz packages still though.

Well, teams with real talent on the edge don’t have to blitz as much. If Kerrigan/Smith/Galette stay healthy, they likely won’t be in the top half of the league in blitzes. Without a guy like Knighton, I might expect them to stunt more, however.

For the record I was a believer in the process and Hinkie for the most part till they fired him right at the apex of it all. I like Nerlens a lot better than Okafor as I think a big man should first and foremost be able to play defense and rebound before being a one dimensional offensive player. Second the process can all go to waste with Colangelo who is the Billy Davis of GMs. No good years but someone keeps getting opportunities. He’s the most important piece in those whole things not the assets. And finally I never get upset over anything on here. And that’s what I have to say about that.
We know what they want to do (KD). We should know rather quickly if he’s interested or not. That drives everything else. Of all the DC management…I have the least faith in the Wiz to get it right.

I think the trade market for DMC or ALF will depend on who’s injured, when they are injured, and which teams it happens to. As of now though I don’t think teams want them much more than their own guys. That may change though.

At that rate he will likely average around 250 carries, and throw in another 50 catches per game.

I would guess that, barring injury causing him to miss several games, Zeke should get around 225 rushes and 25 receptions. It’s rare for rookies, no matter how good, to get much more than that and Dallas has a large platoon of capable runners. It makes sense for him, for the RB squad overall, and if they actually make the playoffs, it makes better sense for their RB corps being relatively fresh and in good shape (unlike 2014 when Murray was really tailing off towards the end of the season while the guys behind him were damn near untested from lack of use).

Now, I haven’t gone back and looked, but my experience tells me that the Cowboys, historically, give their “lead back” more like 70% of the rushes which means you can expect Elliott to have around 19-20 attempts per game.

Carpenter. He was a bust in our ZBS, but went to the Jets and has done very well in their standard OL blocking system. Definitely a bad call by our draft people – they thought he was the ideal RT, but he couldn’t block the fast DE’s, and as a guard in our ZBS he graded out less than average.
