It’s looking more and more like Dez will be out for most of the season. 4 to 6 weeks is the earliest he could be back with 10-12 weeks more likely.

MVP BEATERING_THE_ODDS That would be a problem… I looked at the schedule at 4-6 weeks before last night and said well ok it hurts but Saints and Falcons will be a little tougher but still winnable…. after last night the Falcons look for real. Saints look a lot better than last year.
When you look at the schedule Cowboys don’t have a soft spot….Cowboys needed Devon Street to rise up like Austin did a few years back, otherwise they will drop a few games in this next stretch.
So if there is a silver lining from last night, it’s that Kiko Alonso > Odell Beckham.
I’ve seen a few articles that claim him coming back from this injury in 4-6 weeks would be amazing. One player has done it and that was Donte Stallworth. They mention a bunch that took much longer.

MVP NY media loves to tear down its heroes….this is going to be a really tough year for Eli and the Giants. They shouldn’t have even been in that game in the first place. Cowboys played so sloppy they game them plenty of chances to take the game beyond the goal line thing. I had the Giants as high as 9-7 or 8-8 based on ODB, Cruz, Randle. The injuries have piled up and I thin ODB buckled as the #1 on the field. 4 catches for 44 yards is not a superstar level of play.

Improved passing from Couins – Not more passing, but all his passes looked horrible so I’d like to see improvement here
Heavy rushing scheme: ALF needs another 100+yard game
Better passing play selection: Seemed pretty poor against MIA, I would like to see some better thought up passing plays to offset the running game
Oline play: Another really good defensive front this week, Oline needs to step up, always room for improvement and I’d like to see Moses and Scherff take the next step
Better, faster, harder blizting: Dial it up!
At least adequate secondary play. I expect Foles to have a big passing game with Breeland on his first game and Culliver suspended. Amerson needs to step up.

I might be in the minority, but I was pretty encouraged by the performance last night outside of a few things, but they’re pretty obvious. Stop leaving Maxwell 1 on 1 with a top 3 WR in the NFL, Parkey fucking blows, too many penalties (to be fair here, about HALF of them were legit…refs called an awful game last night), can’t turn the ball over, have to sustain better drives early, and can’t drop so many balls…Jenkins dropped two int’s, and both Matthews’ had drops that were killers…but…Atlanta is really tough at home and they easily could’ve beaten them. Bradford looked good, Cox is a beast…not really worried if we’re healthy.

Honestly, has there ever been an illegal contact call in which the reaction was anything other than “wow, the offense really got bailed out there”. It definitely shouldn’t be an auto first down, but I don’t think any rule should be an auto first down. It’s just such a ticky tack call always. It’s the worst thing to see an offense bailed out on 3rd and 18 because a safety 40 yards away from the play bumps into a WR who was never a serious option on the play.

No it doesn’t. There’s exactly 1 shutdown corner in the league. The $60M indicates he’s top 5-10 probably though. We’ll see how he does from now on. Julio is top 3.
