3 PLAYERS / 3 ROUNDS: SEAHAWKS

    539 602 Charlie the Unicorn

I’m not going to write the fluff JP did in his piece, I’m going to be OG and give you my picks and a few other guys of interest to Seattle.
Seriously, thanks JP for writing some informative articles for SKA during this the 2015 run-up to the draft. Keal loves you man… manbeers are coming your way!

Let the Seattle Seahawks guesses begin!

    2nd
    Devin Funchess, WR/TE, Michigan
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 232. 40 Time: 4.50. Projected Round (2015): 2-3.

Combo player. Good size and speed. The exact type of big bodied outside WR/TE they want in the offense. Hands are a concern, but 1st round talent on some boards.

    2nd Round Dark Horses

Ali Marpet, C/G, Hobart (Combine Standout) (SPARQ STAR)
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 307. 40 Time: 4.98. Projected Round (2015): 2-3

My personal favorite for the pick, almost too obvious. Way too obvious. Excellent footwork with lateral quickness and hands to block and control rushers. So I ultimately put him in the dark horse category.

    Phillip Dorsett, WR, Miami
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 183. 40 Time: 4.33. Projected Round (2015) 2-3.

Lets get some speed on the offense, elusive and a game breaker. Love this guy as well.

    The Darkest of Sleeper Picks

    Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor
    Height 6-3. Weight 230. 40 Time: 4.81. Projected Round 2-3

I love this guy and think he has a chance to be very special on the next level. Why not get a quality back-up QB to groom.

    LATE ADDITION

    Shane Ray, DE, Missouri
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 245. 40 Time: 4.68. Projected Round (2015) top 20.

Not sure how far his draft stock will drop (due to drug charge and foot/health issues), but if he is at 63…. I could easily see Seattle taking him. Top 20 pick at 63, Extreme Value pick.

    3rd
    Davis Tull, OLB, Tennessee-Chattanooga
    Height 6-2. Weight: 246. Projected 40 Time: 4.59. Projected Round (2015): 3-4.

A freak of an athlete. Exactly what Seattle likes to go for.. in LBers. Tall and agile. Depth pick.

    3rd Round Dark Horses

    Louis Trinca-Pasat, DT, Iowa
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 290. 40 Time: 4.96. Projected Round (2015): 4-6.

One of the better ranked defensive lineman, who fits a specific need on the Seahawks defense.

Cedric Ogbuehi, OT, Texas AM (Knee injury)
    Height: 6-5. Weight 306. 40 Time 4.98. Projected Round: 3

Injury has cut his draft stock, originally a 1st round talent prior to the injury. Value pick.

Nick Boyle, TE, Delaware (Stand out at All star Game)/ (+Combine) Note: Blocking TE.
    Height: 6-5. Weight: 273. 40 Time: 5.04. Projected Round (2015): 3-5.

One of the best blocking TE in the draft. I’m not sure Seattle is done retooling the position, so here is a guy to watch.

    4th (1)
    Mark Glowinski, OG, West Virginia
    Height: 6-4. Weight 307. 40 Time 5.20. Projected Round 2015): 4-5

Seattle has interest and has visited him. He looks like a guy Cable would like. Position of need, why not…

    4th (2)
    Kenny Bell, WR/KR, Nebraska
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 197. 40 Time: 4.37. Projected Round (2015) 4-5.

One of my favorites in the draft. Tough, determined blocker. KR ability. Shifty…. Golden Tate like abilities.

    4th (3)
    Darryl Roberts, CB, Marshall (KR)
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 187. 40 Time: 4.38. Projected Round: 5

Not the typical Seahawks CB, but extremely sticky to WRs in the slot. Neutralizing WRs like Edleman… sign em up.

    4th round DARK HORSES

Laurence Gibsen, OT, Virginia Tech (OG)
    Height: 6-6. Weight: 305. 40 Time: 5.04. Projected Round (2015): 4-6.

Size and length. He is projected as a RT now, but could swing to LT is Okung leaves in one season. Depth pick.

Kristian Sokoli, DT, Buffalo (OL?) *pictured*
    Height 6-5. Weight: 290. 40 Time 4.86. Projected Round 5-6

One of the top OL, if he is converted to OG. Rumors are swirling around this guy.. Round 5 is my guess, but just in case.

    Mike Davis*, RB, South Carolina
    Height: 5-9. Weight: 217. 40 Time: 4.53. Projected Round (2015): 3-4.

Seahawks like him. Power runner, with some elusiveness. Good yards after contact. Depth pick for when Lynch hangs it up in 1-2 seasons.

Tyrell Williams, WR, W. Oregon (Div 2)
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 203. 40 Time: 4.38. Projected Round (2015) 4-7.

Out of left field, developmental pick. Plenty of steam behind him, rising up draft boards. Should be a round 5 guy, but wanted to mentioned him anyhow.

    Jaquiski Tartt, SS, Samford (OLB)
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 221. 40 Time: 4.53. Projected Round (2015): 3-5.

Big hitter in the mold of BAM BAM KAM, could be a very unique chess piece in pass rushing situations.

That’s it. Obviously I’m not going for accuracy here, but I do think each of these guys warrants consideration. Send me your hate mail at [email protected]. Thank-you.
