What’s changed?
I’ll tell you what’s changed, Knowledge Seekers: NFL History. That’s right. Because until now no one believed, not even in their wildest dreams, that a QB could possibly begin his or her career with 8 consecutive winning seasons. “It can’t be done,” the experts unanimously agreed while pointing to their faulty charts. “If it were possible, Andy Luck would have done it by now.”
Well now we know that it is possible, at least for one man: Russell Carrington Wilson – the non-stop winning machine who leads the league in passing TDs and whose team is poised for yet another strong finish to the season.
Since drafting Wilson in 2012, the Seahawks have gone 23-9 in the month of December, and that includes games with Blair Walsh. And there’s no reason to believe that this year should be any different. The rest of the team is solidifying around the steady presence of their Hall of Fame QB, with the Defense rounding into shape behind a newly awakened pass-rush. According to this thingy, a win over the Vikings this weekend would give the Seahawks a 99% chance at making the playoffs, but you probably already knew that.
My Analysis
The 49ers – who have been peaking too early for months now – have proven themselves rather adept at beating non-Seattle teams. This week the Packers employed a unique strategy by allowing SF receivers to run free down the field, perhaps knowing that Jimmy’s deep passing numbers have been laughably bad, and attempting to coax a few boneheaded interceptions out of the highly-flappable signal caller. But it was not meant to be. And now, six years into his NFL career, Jimmy finally has a signature win that isn’t Jacksonville or Cleveland.
More good news came for Garoppolo on Monday night when Jared Goff assumed the mantle of Undisputed NFCW Laughingstock and became the premiere source of BKOB Report fodder. Let’s all take turns laughing at him.
After leading his team to 3 points in the Superbowl, Goff now has more INTs than TDs in 2019, and is 32nd among qualified players in Passer Rating – just below Mason Rudolph and Mitch Trubisky. Goff counts $51M against the salary cap next year.
What happened?? It seems like just yesterday that reality was collapsing and the Rams were racking up meaningless regular season victories/peaking too early, just like SF, and Jared Goff was QB-Sneaking his way into our hearts. But after failing to buy a Championship, the Rams promptly payed all of the wrong people, traded their next two 1st round picks for a no reason, and their season appears to be over. Hopefully K1’s heart will go on.
And now, how about your feedback? If you have friends and family, make sure to print out a few copies of the Knowledge Tables to give to them.
Thank you, and always remember: Kill… Danny… O’neil…………………
