The Superbowl is here. The season flew by fast, too fast. I went 2-0 last week ….. 9-1 in postseason picks now. (168-90 during the regular season).
So this is it… win this game for all the marbles. The end of a long journey with plenty of twists and turns. I’m not going to over analyze this match-up, because ESPN and NFL network have went all out in SB coverage. Lynch finally spoke to the Media, which was nothing new. Hell, we had over a week talking about PSI and footballs.
The “old” dynasty vs the “new” kids on the block. The Empire vs the Rebels. Darth Sidious vs Yoda. I even predicted the NE / SEA SB before the season… and it was so.
Honestly, if you believe the Seahawks defense is one of the top 5 best defenses in the history of the NFL…. they have to do what they do best, impose their will. On paper, this should be a razor close game… hell, the bettors have the Patriots slightly favored now…. the talking heads on NFL . com had a 24 to 22 slight edge to the Seahawks. The prediculator predicted a 24-20 Seahawks win, and then there are the million other prognosticators who are on all sides of the fence. The play I would make at the casino would be the 8-1 bet on OT in this SB. It is time for such a game….. almost overdue, if you will.

What more is there to say…. I agree with most denizens that this should be a close game. Patriots have had score differentials of 3, 3, 3, 3 and 4 pts in their prior 5 SBs. This leads me to believe it will be a 4 quarter game, with plenty of excitment late into the game. If Seattle gets up by more than 6 points at any points in the game, it might be over. Patriots will not make the mistake that others have, stop playing after 3 quarters (looking at you Packers)… and rest on their laurels. Plenty of hard hits and exceptional plays all over the field. Rejoice, this might be the best SB of them all!
The football gods will be pleased by the contest. The TV audience will break records for viewers. Beastmode will sell even more clothing!!!!
