The Real BKOB Report – 2024 – Week 15 Edition

GOOD MORNING SKA USERS. IT’S TUESDAY AND THAT MEANS IT’S TIME TO ARM YOURSELVES… WITH KNOWLEDGE!!!

Things have suddenly gotten very interesting in the final 3 weeks of the NFCW Season – perhaps a little too interesting… While it seemed like Seattle had a chance to run away with the Division Title, they are now tied with the Rams atop the NFCW Standings with a critical week 18 matchup between the two teams on the distant horizon. Oh, why does it have to be so interesting??

In the meantime, neither team can afford to blink. On paper, the Rams appear to have the easier schedule down the stretch. However, their next two opponents (NYJ and AZ) are coming off impressive victories of their own. The Jets managed to beat the legendary Mac Jones – despite the fact that he finished 2nd in OROY voting three years ago, and took his team to the playoffs while making the Pro Bowl as a rookie (a ‘Purdy-esque’ resume if ever I saw one). Likewise, the Cardinals enjoyed a dominating victory of their own, and they already beat the Rams handily earlier this year. So there’s still hope, Knowledge Seekers!!

For now, the NFCW Trollercoaster continues to churn, as it has all year.

As if things weren’t exciting enough, here are this week’s STATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    My Analysis:
The Seahawks had a chance to prove their mettle against a fellow NFC Contender in the Green Bay Packers. After a rocky start saw them giving up a pair of TD drives in the opening quarter, the Defense settled in and allowed only 3 Field Goals on their next 8 drives. Not too shabby. Seattle pulled within 10 points, and likely would have won the game if Geno “The Human Comeback Machine” Smith hadn’t been taken out by a dirty hit. Oh, what a shame. Regardless, they have another opportunity to prove themselves when the 12-2 Minnesota Vikings come to Seattle this Sunday. Hopefully the Jets continue their winning ways, so that this game end up being meaningless.

Elsewhere in the Division, Brock Purdy and Mike Shanahan continue to hold back the elite talent on their team’s roster, and I think that’s wonderful. Despite the fact that SF has the best Team Stats across the board in the NFCW, they remain in the Divisional basement and it’s all Brock’s fault. He had his 4th game with 0 TDs this season. For reference, Russell Carrington Wilson has 4 games with 0 TDs since 2021. Now that’s a REAL QB for ya. The vaunted SF offense is averaging 9.8 points per game since losing to the Seahawks in Week 11. You love to see it, Knowledge Seekers.
