What’s Changed?
The Seahawks escaped Week 6 as the only NFCW Team with a winning record. They’re 4-1, in case you were wondering. Not too shabby, considering the collection of circumstances that have conspired against them every step of the way – like losing both of Russell Wilson’s legs. But they’ve somehow made it work.
The last time Seattle started 4-1 they went on to win the Super Bowl, and I wrote a really great article about it. We’ll see how it plays out this year.
For the few blessed Knowledge Seekers who were fortunate enough to attend the game at CenturyLink Field this past weekend, you witnessed a game for the ages. The 12th Man made their presence felt in grand, ear-splitting fashion! True Blue-and-Green Maniacs, whose only goal was to get wasted and scream their heads off!! This was a Playoff-type environment, and it made all the difference.
I was there as an unbiased Sports Journalist, and even I found it difficult to contain my emotions when the Legendary Legion of Boom and Russell Wilson reaffirmed their Championship mettle by making clutch-play, after clutch-play, after clutch-play in the dramatic 4th Quarter. This is a team of destiny, and I am truly thankful that I got to see them play.
My Analysis:
The Pitiful Arizona Cardinals strengthened their grip on 3rd Place, thanks to a ref-assisted victory over Ryan Fitzpatrick. Despite the fact that they (allegedly) have a lot of talented players and a great Coach, they’ve had to claw and scratch their way to a .500 record. All of their wins have been against teams that are lousy.
This week they face their biggest challenge since Jimmy Garoppolo. The Seattle Seahawks’ #1 Defense is coming to town, and we all know what that means. Seattle has won in Arizona in each of the past three seasons, always by double-digit blowout margins. I seriously doubt any Arizona fans will attend this game.
In other news, I was going to do a weekly feature where I tracked Chip Kelly’s Offense vs. Tomsula’s Offense as the season progressed, but it’s seriously just too depressing. The Real BKOB Report isn’t about making people sad. Tigre and Lisa are decent people and THEY DON’T DESERVE THIS!!
I just don’t know what the 49er fans are going to do with themselves, especially when their backup team moves to Las Vegas. Whatever happens, you will always have a home here at The Real BKOB Report. ALL Knowledge Seekers are welcome.
