Power Rankings: Pre Vacation Edition

Well it is that boring ass time in the middle of the offseason. Minicamps start in a few weeks, but until then there is nothing football related, so we have to listen to conversations about baseball, politics, and feet. Time to change that.

I’ll be heading on vacation for a few weeks, but I leave you these power rankings in my stead. Have a fun 4th of July weekend and I’ll see you all again July 17th!

    1. New England Patriots

    Duh.

    2. Green Bay Packers

Still have Rodgers and got rid of their fat running back.

    3. Oakland Raiders

Derek Carr looks like a future super star and he will be healthy to start the year.

    4. Pittsburgh Steelers

Hate them, but that offense still looks unstoppable.

    5. Atlanta Falcons

Lost a lot of their offensive coachig staff, but they still have Julio and their defense should be much better.

    6. Baltimore Ravens

Absolutely killed it this offseason. Should be immediately back in the playoff picture.

    7. Dallas Cowboys

They have a rough schedule. I don’t see them winning 13 games again.

    8.Kansas City Chiefs

They drafted their quarterback of the future in the latest Fuck You Alex Smith moment. I think they regress in his final year.

    9. New York Giants

They were weaker than their record indicated last year, but signed Brandon Marshall to pair with OBJ. Both incredible headcases, but incredibly talented.

    10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Here’s a team that made all the right moves in the offseason after a surprisingly good season a year ago. They should challenge for a playoff spot.

    11. Seattle Seahawks

Their defense is still good with Earl Thomas back, but their offensive line still sucks and their locker room is in shambles. May take a step back this year.

    12. Philadelphia Eagles

Wentz went from having no weapons last year to two established ones. My surprise playoff pick.

    13.  Carolina Panthers

The Panthers are a good year/bad year team. They had a bad year last year.

    14. Tennessee Titans

Improved a lot in 2016 and they finally appear to have a franchise quarterback. Best team in the AFC South by default.

    15. Minnesota Vikings

They can never be ruled out with that defense, but they still need some serious help on their offensive line.

    16. Denver Broncos

Their defense is still really good, but still have Semen at quarterback. Not looking too promising.

    17. Arizona Cardinals

Their defense got bombarded in free agency, but they drafted some nice pieces. We’ll see if they improve.

    18. Miami Dolphins

This team played well over their heads last year. Don’t see it happening again.

    19. Detroit Lions

They are worst team to make the playoffs last year save for the Texans. They should be closer to where they belong in 2017.

    20. Indianapolis Colts

WILL SOMEBODY GIVE ANDREW LUCK SOME HELP?!?!?!?

    21. Cincinnati Bengals

They had a bad year by their standards last year and are more or less the same team.

    22. Washington Redskins

A messy offseason that included the inexplicable firing of their GM and their quarterback becoming restless. Don’t see any reason for hope.

    23. Buffalo Bills

Tyrod Taylor isn’t as bad of a quarterback as people think, but he is still pedestrian.

    24. New Orleans Saints

Got the best cornerback in the draft, but otherwise a pretty mediocre offseason. Brees has no weapons.

    25. Houston Texans

Took a draft pick to unload Osweiler and Watson is definitely a project at best. Regression seems likely.

    26. Los Angeles Chargers

Other than a messy and embarrassing move to Los Angeles, a pretty good offseason for on the field stuff.

    27. San Francisco 49ers

Had the best draft of any team in a league, but this is a rebuilding year. Hoyer is a pretty good stopgap at QB.

    28. Cleveland Browns

For the first time in a long time, they have stability at coach and had a great offseason. Should be much better.

    29. Los Angeles Rams

It’s hard being a team that bad and not having a first round pick. A new coaching staff should get their offense going in the right direction.

    30.  Jacksonville Jaguars

Thought they would improve a lot last year and they wet the bed. Not going to believe it until I see it.

    31. Chicago Bears

Got fleeced in the draft and have two unseasoned quarterbacks getting paid a lot of money. They actually might be worse than last year.

    32. New York Jets

They had no quarterback last year and did nothing to address that this year. Definitely the league’s worst team.
