The Real BKOB Report – 2018 – Week 10 Edition

GOOD MORNING SKA USERS. IT’S TUESDAY AND THAT MEANS IT’S TIME TO ARM YOURSELVES… WITH KNOWLEDGE!!!

Another exciting weekend of Knowledge is in the books, with a series of games that has left NFCW fans with one question on their minds: …Is Russell Carrington Wilson the best QB who has ever lived? My research suggests that yes he probably is. Don’t believe me? Sounds like you could use a Chart.

For centuries mankind has used Career Passer Rating as the only reliable way to compare and rank NFL QBs of any era. This perfect method is considered accepted science across the globe, with no controversy or dissenting opinions to speak of. And for several years, it has been Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson at the top of the leader board – Two QBs whose teams will square off against one another this very weekend. The kind of matchup that Golden Boners are made for!

At one point Rodgers enjoyed a cushy lead in this most significant of statistical categories. At the end of the 2014 Season, Rodgers had just claimed his 2nd MVP award, and held a 106.0 to 98.6 lead over 2nd place Russell Wilson, with no other serious competitors in sight. What has Wilson done since then? Oh, he just beat Rodgers in the NFC Championship Game, then embarked on a Hero’s Journey to close that gap and claim his rightful spot upon the lofty Throne of Passerdom – Including this most recent stretch of excellence where he has registered a Passer Rating of 120 or more in 4 of his last 5 games. Let’s check in on his progress!

Mesmerizing. As you can see, Rodgers’ numbers have been in free-fall, coming back to earth after the statistical windfalls of his 2011 and 2014 seasons. Wilson has put up some of his best passing numbers over those past few seasons, including this season where he is on pace to finish with the most TDs and highest Passer Rating of his extraordinary career. How does he do it? Wilson has been outstanding, while Rodgers has struggled to even be amazing. I expect those trends to continue this weekend, with Rodgers’ statistical empire crumbling into ruins, and Wilson continuing his steady march toward the top. What had once seemed unattainable is now nearly within reach.

“But BKOB, in this increasingly pass-happy league, surely there must be several young Gunslingers poised to top even Wilson and Rodgers’ numbers?” Stop that. Ok? You sound ridiculous. Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mayhomes each need 1000 more pass attempts before they qualify for the record, and Jared Goff must now play without Cooper Kupp and his super-annoying magical Force Field that prevents Defenders from covering him.

All the other young QBs you’re thinking of are lousy and will never come close… Well, except maybe that Nick Mullens guy. I hear he’s the best. But with Wilson constantly improving by leaps and bounds like he’s always doing, it seems like it should be mathematically impossible for anyone to catch him, ever. Good luck, you whippersnappers!

Once your done absorbing that Chart, help yourself to some… STATS!!!!!!!!!!!!

    What’s Changed?
The So-Called Rams picked up another victory over an unnamed opponent. They could realistically become the first NFL team to clinch their Division this weekend. As an unbiased journalist, that makes me want to PUKE!! This Collapse of Reality nonsense has gone on long enough! I realize the Seavengers concept is worthy of a trilogy, but they’re really milking it for all it’s worth. The suspense is getting to be unbearable.

    (SPOILER WARNING)

Whatever. The Rams Defense is clearly not playoff ready, and their bid the buy a Championship will ultimately fall short. Opposing teams will follow Brian Schottenheimer’s flawless gameplan which yielded 62 points and 7 Yards per Carry in two games this season. So in a way, the Seavengers have already won. Awesome.
