AFC North Week 4 Stuff, by Gemini

Time’s a bit short this week, so I asked my favorite SUPER INTELLIGENT agent to pen something for us.  Have to admit, it’s getting better at this.  Enjoy.

If you ever want to understand pure, unadulterated mathematical equity mixed with absolute emotional distress, look no further than the NFL’s AFC North. Following a chaotic Week 3 of the 2026 regular season, the division has managed to accomplish something truly special: a complete, existential 4-way deadlock where every single team sits at exactly 2-1.
It is the only division in football where everyone is simultaneously planning a Super Bowl parade and looking up the contract buyout terms for their defensive coordinators. Let’s look at how we arrived at this beautifully symmetrical nightmare.

Pittsburgh Steelers 30, Cincinnati Bengals 27
The Game Where Aaron Rodgers Remembered His Password
Just seven days prior, the Pittsburgh Steelers offense put together a performance so lifeless it could have been legally classified as a tax write-off. But in Week 3, Aaron Rodgers apparently dug out his reading glasses, remembered his password, and dialed back the clock. Rodgers shredded the Cincinnati Bengals for 292 yards and three touchdowns, proving that he can still play like a first-ballot Hall of Famer when he isn’t distracted by late-night podcast appearances.
Meanwhile, the Bengals‘ “revamped” defense spent the afternoon performing a flawless impression of a turnstile at a subway station, surrendering 411 total yards. Joe Burrow did his absolute best, throwing for three touchdowns of his own, but his afternoon ended in the most AFC North way possible: getting stripped-sacked in the final minute to seal the game for Pittsburgh.
    • Current Mood in Pittsburgh: Unwarranted arrogance. They are technically in first place due to tiebreakers, and fans are already drafting Aaron Rodgers’ statue layout.
    • Current Mood in Cincinnati: Sky-high anxiety. Their expensive defense got exposed by a quarterback older than some of the stadium’s draft beers.

Baltimore Ravens 34, Dallas Cowboys 31
    The Maracanã Meltdown
The Baltimore Ravens took their talents south of the equator, traveling to Rio de Janeiro to play the Dallas Cowboys at the legendary Maracanã Stadium. Because nothing says “traditional American football gridiron” like a Brazilian soccer cathedral.
The game itself was a masterclass in panic management. The Ravens looked dominant early on, but trying to hold a lead in Baltimore is currently like trying to carry hot soup in a wicker basket. Luckily for them, the Cowboys secondary completely collapsed late in the game, and Dallas’ coaching staff enacted a highly experimental clock management strategy that involved settling for a field goal from the 1-yard line. This gave the Ravens just enough room to escape Brazil with a three-point victory and severe emotional exhaustion.
    • Current Mood in Baltimore: Relieved but sweaty. A win is a win, even if it requires a 10-hour flight and a total fourth-quarter meltdown from the opposing sideline.

Cleveland Browns 21, Carolina Panthers 18
    The “Wait, We’re Good?” Surge
Perhaps the most terrifying development for the rest of the league is the sudden, inexplicable competence of the Cleveland Browns. After looking like a complete dumpster fire in Week 1, Todd Monken’s Browns have rattled off two upset wins in a row.
The Browns didn’t even need franchise staple Myles Garrett to stifle the Carolina Panthers. Instead, rookie defensive end Jared Verse spent four quarters terrorizing the Panthers‘ backfield. Offensively, Deshaun Watson did just enough to ensure the Browns crawled across the finish line with a 21-18 victory. Are the Browns offensive masterminds? No. Are they 2-1 and tied for the division lead? Absolutely.
    • Current Mood in Cleveland: Pure shock. A season that felt entirely lost two weeks ago is suddenly a statistical paradise.
