    Greetings, Knowledge Seekers.

Every single day my loyal fans on SpikedKoolAid.com are BEGGING me to post a new article. Even the AI-Generated Recaps of my articles are breaking SKA records for comment count – with Clamor Levels reaching an all-time high. It sort of makes me want to dust of the old Boner and give this “article writing” thing another go-round.

So without further AWARD delay, I present to you BKOB Presents – The Top 12 Seahawks (Part 2): THE REHAWKENING!! If you’d like a recap of the list so far, just read it again!! It’s darn good

    08) Earl Thomas
    S 2010-2018
    Super Bowl XLVIII Champion
    2x NFC Champion 2013, 2014
    3x First-team All-Pro 2012-2014
    2x Second-team All-Pro 2011, 2017
    6x Pro Bowl 2011-2015, 2017

Today, Earl is more famous for some of his off-the-field hijinks. But this is a family program, so we won’t spend too much time dwelling on that. Let’s just say that Earl Thomas is competitive. In ways that would make most of us uncomfortable. So competitive, in fact, that I think he might have been insane [1]. He may have been an MKUltra patient. But it made for some amazing highlights throughout the years [2], even if some of them felt kind of repetitive [3].

My lasting memory of Earl is seeing them wrench his shoulder back into its socket during the NFCCG against the Packers[4]. He finished the game with a shoulder harness [5]. Despite trailing most of the game (and despite Green Bay having SEVEN short-field opportunities due to turnovers and shanked punts), Earl and the Legion of Boom held MVP Aaron Rodgers and the #1 Ranked Offense to 9 pints in the final 3 Quarters + Overtime to help send the Seahawks back to the Super Bowl! So we can forgive some of his imperfections.

    07) Richard Sherman
    CB 2011-2017
    Super Bowl XLVIII Champion
    2x NFC Champion 2013, 2014
    3x First-team All-Pro 2012-2014
    1x Second-team All-Pro 2015
    4x Pro Bowl 2013-2016

Famous for costing the 49ers SEVERAL Super Bowls, Richard Sherman earned a permanent home in the hearts of Seahawks fans around the globe – even if he sometimes makes opposing fanbases madbro. The Legion of Boom is showing up strong today!!

My lasting memory of Sherman was seeing him hyperextend his elbow during the NFCCG against the Packers [6]. He finished the game with one arm pinned to his side. Despite trailing most of the game, Richard made the final 3rd Down tackle on Jordy Nelson to end Green Bay’s hopes of a game winning TD drive [7]. MVP Aaron Rodgers and the #1 Ranked Offense would not see the field again. And I think that’s great.

    06) Kenny Easley
    S 1981-1987
NFL Defensive Player of the Year 1984
    4x First-team All-Pro 1982-1985
    Second-team All-Pro 1987
    5x Pro Bowl 1982-1985, 1987
Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2017

There’s no school like the Old School. Or so I’ve heard. “The Enforcer” was patrolling the backfield in the Kingdome long before I became an unbiased sports journalist, so I’m kinda going off of reputation here. According to Wikipedia, Easley was one of Seahawks defensive unit leaders and one of the finest defensive players in the NFL during the 1980s. He also owned a Cadillac dealership in Lynwood, and was President of the African American Dealers Association. Seems like a great guy.

He also has as many INTs for Seattle as Richard Sherman, more TDs than Earl Thomas, and more First Team All-Pros than BOTH of them. He was also a Defensive Player of the Year, a member of the 1980’s All-Decade Team, and the 4th Seahawk to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. And although he didn’t beat the Packers in the 2014 NFC Championship game, I assume it wasn’t his fault. I’ll have to ask Silent Bob next time I see him.

Before we reveal the final entrant for this installment of The Top 12 Seahawks, let’s see some Honorable Mentions! These are Seahawks players who are mentioned honorably!
Dave Brown – CB 1976-1986, 50 INTs (team record)
Doug Baldwin – WR 2011-2018, Super Bowl XLVIII Champion, 49 rec TDs
Michael Bennett – DE 2009, 2013-2017 Super Bowl XLVIII Champion, 3x Pro Bowl
    Byron Murphy II – DT 2024-, Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year (2023), First-team All-Big 12
    Curt Warner – RB 1983-1989, 3x Second-team All-Pro
Wow, those mentions are about as honorable as it gets! Anyone missing?? Let us know in the comments section below.  They may appear in future installments of BKOB Presents – The Top 12 Seahawks. Now, back to the list!!

    05) Russell Carrington Wilson
    QB 2012-2021
    Super Bowl XLVIII Champion
    2x NFC Champion 2013, 2014
Watler Payton NFL Man of the Year 2020
    Second-team All-Pro 2019
    9x Pro Bowl 2012-2015, 2017-2021

Now I know what you’re all thinking: “Russell Carrington Wilson?? He’s fantastic!!” I certainly understand why you feel that way, Knowledge Seeker. As an unbiased sports journalist, I tried not be too effusive with my praise for Wilson during his time in the NFCW. But even I have to admit, the little guy won me over [8]. He is, after all, the highest rated passer in NFCW History (minimum 1,000 pass attempts).

My lasting memory of Russell Carrington Wilson was leading a pair of Touchdown drives in the final minutes of the NFC Championship game against, the Packers. Despite turning in a CTE-riddled performance for the first 55 minutes of the game [9], Russell never gave up! Scoring 15 points in the final 2:09 of regulation, and capping it off with the Game Winning TD in Overtime [10] – THAT will surely be the play that Russell is remembered for forever.

    He’s also 18-4 against the 49ers.

Wait one garsh darn moment… You’re telling me there are FOUR Seahawks players ranked ahead of Russell Carrington Wilson?? My body quivers with anticipation. Join us eventually, Knowledge Seekers, for BKOB Presents – The Top 12 Seahawks (Part 3)

    Eat it, Cheeseheads! [11]
