    Welcome back to the Charlie The Unicorns Weekly Feature. NFL Week 2 is here. For the record, 13-3 overall (straight-up)….. I’ll work on ATS ( against the spread figures next week, for the degenerate gamblers amongst you all)

    Lot’s of work to do this week, so keep this brief. The number of stars rank the best games, in my opinion, to sink your precious time into watching.

    Thursday Football (Sept 17)

    Denver at Kansas City 8:25 PM CBS/NFL (***)

    Point Spread : -3 Chiefs
    O/U : 41.5

    These are two of the better defenses in the NFL. I think this will come down to Manning, is he going to get back to form in this game?

    Prediction: 20 – 17 Chiefs

    Sunday Football (Sept 20) EASTERN TIME Broadcast

    Texans at Panthers 1:00 PM CBS

    Point Spread : -3.5 Panthers
    O/U : 40.0

    Last I heard, the Texans changed QBs for the game. That is not a good sign. I like the Panthers defense…. they should be able to hold the Texans O down long enough for the Panther O to score.

    Prediction: 21 – 16 Panthers

    49ers at Steelers 1:00 PM FOX (**)

    Point Spread : -6 Steelers
    O/U: 45.5

    Are the 49ers fools gold, that is the 51 cent question? I thought the 49ers defense looked good…. why are the smart money people throwing down coin on the Steelers… what angle am I not seeing here??

    Prediction: 30 – 24 Steelers

    Buccaneers at Saints 1:00 PM FOX

    Point Spread : -10 Saints
    O/U: 47.5

    Saints at home are great. Bucs on the road suck. Easy money right?

    Prediction: 33 – 24 Saints

    Lions at Vikings 1:00 PM FOX (*)

    Point Spread : -2.5 Vikings
    O/U: 43.5

    I’m going to go with the Vikings, because I think they are bettr than week #1 indicated.

    Prediction: 33 – 27 Vikings

    Cardinals at Bears 1:00 PM FOX

    Point Spread : -2.5 Cardinals
    0/U: 46.5

    The Cardinals are getting some love this week. The Bears are terrible. Man this is a tough game to call.

    Prediction: 27 – 24 Cardinals

    Patriots at Bills 1:00 PM CBS (*****)

    Point Spread : -1.5 Patriots
    0/U: 45.5

    This is a very dangerous game for the Patriots. I think the Bills D is under-rated, if there can be such a thing under Sexy Rexy. I’m going to go with the Gronk factor.

    Prediction: 24 – 20 Patriots

    Chargers at Bengals 1:00 PM CBS

    Point Spread : -3.5 Bengals
    O/U: 47.0

    The Bungals better win this game, if not…. some coaches should get fired.

    Prediction: 31 – 26 Bengals

    Titans at Browns 1:00 PM CBS

    Point Spread : -1 Titans
    O/U: 41.5

    Mariota showed week #1 that he is the truth. I’m not ready to call him the “next” great QB, but he has started the season out on fire. Oh yeah, that Bishop Sankey RB is pretty good as well.

    Prediction: 24 – 17 Titans

    Falcons at Giants 1:00 PM FOX (*)

    Point Spread : -2.5 Giants
    O/U: 51.5

    I really love the Falcons, their offense can get smoking hot and their defense showed some flashes week #1. The Giants are at home, so I guess I can go with them… as long as OBJ gets on track.

    Prediction: 28 – 24 Giants

    Rams at Redskins 1:00 PM FOX

    Point Spread : -3.5 Rams
    O/U: 41.5

    Will the Rams have a HUGE letdown and break Loyal’s heart?

    Prediction: 21- 17 Rams

    Dolphins at Jaguars 4:05 PM CBS

    Point Spread : -6.5 Dolphins
    O/U: 41.5

    Time for the Dolphins defense to impose it’s will, with DT Suh leading the way. Defensive TD will help in the end.

    Prediction: 27 – 23 Fish

    Ravens at Raiders 4:05 PM CBS

    Point Spread : -6.5 Ravens
    O/U: 43.5

    The Raiders week #1 performance was a complete debacle. Now their QB CARR is banged-up and their best Safety is also banged up. I loved the Raiders last week, but I hate them this week.

    Prediction: 44 – 10 Ravens

    Cowboys at Eagles 4:25 PM FOX (***)

    Point Spread : -5.5 Eagles
    O/U: 55.5

    I’m going with the home team. They will gas the Cowboys defense… and destroy them by the 4th quarter.

    Prediction: 37 – 24 Eagles

    Sunday Night Football

    Seahawks at Packers 8:30 PM NBC (***)

    Point Spread : -3.5 Packers
    O/U: 49.0

    There are the revenge factors and so much more leading into this game. I expect both teams to really lean on the rushing attack. Can the Packers find a way to cough-up another close game to the Seahawks (at home) ? I could easily see an upset here…

    Prediction: 28 – 24 Packers

    Monday Night Football (Sept 21)

    Jets at Colts 7:10 PM ESPN

    Point Spread : -7.0 Colts
    O/U: 47.0

    I think this game might be closer than some people think. The Jets have a decent defense, but their offense is very troubling. Can Luck he held in check 2 weeks in a row? Will the real Frank Gore show up?

    Prediction: 27 – 23 Colts

    Remember SKAsians, don’t hate the player, hate the game.
