Camps have been relatively quiet for our teams.
No news of blockbuster signings, although there have been a few depth pieces added here and there. No news of any serious injuries (knocks on several wooden objects).
So, naturally, there’s not much to report. To keep this “article” relatively current, here’s some links.
- Ravens FB Patrick Ricard takes snaps with the offensive line.
Given that Ricard’s FB slot has always been viewed as somewhat of a gimmick a la William “Refrigerator” Perry, Ricard’s proven adept and versatile. That he’s over 300 pounds lends itself well to blocking along the line occasionally.
- The Browns have some defensive line depth issues.
Cleveland is surely grateful the “injury bug” hasn’t affected their starting DE tandem. But quality depth can’t be underestimated. Big healthy guys needed.
- The Steelers lost a couple of brothers to injury.
No; not the Watt brothers. There’s only one of them left on the roster. This shouldn’t be a (Her)big deal in the long run.
- WR Ja’Marr Chase would like to see his QB sit out until healthy.
Noble sentiments. There’s rumors circulating that Burrow may sit out until Week 3 as it is, so Chase may be fretting over nothing.
