The Real BKOB Report – 2018 – Week 8 Edition

GOOD MORNING SKA USERS. IT’S TUESDAY AND THAT MEANS IT’S TIME TO ARM YOURSELVES… WITH KNOWLEDGE!!!

Greetings, Knowledge Seekers. We’ve reached the midway-ish point of the 2018 NFCW Season, so I think it’d be fun to review where the teams stand. But in order to appreciate how far we’ve come, we should revisit where we started. So let’s review:

Going into the 2018 Season, the Seahawks had lost their way. All of their good players were gone, and Pete Carroll had his bags packed and waiting at the front door. It was fun while it lasted. Also, the 49ers had just cloned Joe Montana, named him Jimmy, and gave him 137 million dollars. The sticker shock of the contract was mitigated by the guarantee of multiple Super Bowl victories.

The Arizona Cardinals were going to go 11-5 thanks to their new starting Quarterback, Kirk Cousins, who has a sister in the Pheonix-metro area. They’re very close. The Rams also have fans who probably made predictions, too. But who cares? Read K1’s article if you love the Rams so much.

All caught up? Good. Now let’s see how it all panned out, through the Miracle of… STATS!!!!!!!!!!!!

NFCW Quarterbacks (Ranked by Passer Rating)
    R Wilson – 120/182 (65.9%) 1,556 yds, 8.6 ypa, 16 td, 4 int, 112.8 rtg
    J Goff – 171/253 (67.6%) 2,425yds, 9.6 ypa, 17 td, 5 int, 112.5 rtg
    C Beathard – 102/169 (60.4%) 1,252 yds, 7.4 ypa, 8 td, 7 int, 81.8 rtg
    J Rosen – 94/169 (55.6%) 1,072 yds, 6.3 ypa, 5 td, 6 int, 69.9 rtg
    ———
    J Garoppolo – 53/89 (59.6%) 718 yds, 8.1 ypa, 5 td, 3 int, 90.0 rtg
    S Bradford – 50/80 (62.5%) 400 yds, 5.0 ypa, 2 td, 4 int, 62.5 rtg

NFCW Rushers (Ranked by Rushing Yards)
    T Gurley – 169 att, 800 yds, 4.7 ypc, 11 td, 0 fum
    M Breida – 84 att, 487 yds, 5.8 ypa, 2 td, 1 fum
    C Carson – 103 att, 457 yds, 4.4 ypa, 2 td, 1 fum
    D Johnson – 122 att, 394 yds, 3.2 ypa, 5 td, 2 fum

    What’s Changed?
    Stats are fun.

After going winless the first two weeks of the season, the Seahawks finished the “rebuild” and assumed their position as one of the most dominant teams in the League. Most recently, they went on the road and faced what was a Detroit Defense that was ranked 7th against the Pass, and 4th in Sacks. No biggy. With Offensive Geniuses like Brian Schottenheimer and Russell Carrington Wilson (the NFCW’s Highest Rated Passer) calling the shots, the Seahawks had nothing to fear.

Over his last 5 games, Wilson has completed 70% of his passes, with 11 TDs, only 1 INT and a Passer Rating of 127.2. Give that man a Lifetime Achievement Boner, already! But perhaps the most impressive thing is that his rushing/scrambling ability has become an afterthought, having finally been provided with a POCKET, from which to dissect Defenses on a weekly basis. Award.

Seattle’s Defense has held teams to 16 points a game over that same stretch, and 4 of those 5 games have featured a 100-yard Rushing performance from a Seattle Running Back. That kind of balance makes the Seahawks the envy of the civilized world. They now lead the NFCW in Yellow Highlighting, with 7 Home Games left on the schedule – including two against the 49ers.

    My Analysis

The 49ers and Cardinals attempted to play Football this weekend, with Arizona accidentally coming out on top. Most fanbases would be embarrassed by such a loss, but our SF friends are numb to the pain. Their Season is over by Week 8 for the 4th year in a row. It’s back to the Cloning room for John Lynch.

And now, how about your feedback? Tomorrow is Halloween, but don’t worry… There’s nothing spooky about Knowledge.

Thank you, and always remember: Kill… Danny… O’neil…………………..
