GOOD MORNING SKA USERS. IT’S TUESDAY AND THAT MEANS IT’S TIME TO ARM YOURSELVES… WITH KNOWLEDGE!!!
There used to be a popular rumor on SKA (commonly propagated by Knowledge Haters) that Russell Carrington Wilson was unable to win football games (lol) when his Defense allowed more than 24 points. Well, as you will see in the Knowledge Tables below, his Defense now AVERAGES more than 24 points allowed per game – and yet, somehow, his team is 6-2, and they control their own destiny in the NFCW.
I suspect that this reality might seem perplexing to the Adusorons of the world who have lived a giant lie every single day of their lives. There are no longer any valid criticisms of RW. But I can’t wait to see what kind of false narratives the Knowledge Haters concoct next, and how quickly they are obliterated by the potency of Wilson’s inner-Boner. Award.
Boy, have I got a treat for my Knowledge Seekers: STATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NFCW Quarterbacks (Ranked by Passer Rating)
R Wilson – 171/250 (68.4%) 2,127 yds, 8.5 ypa, 17 td, 1 int, 115.5 rtg
J Garoppolo – 132/189 (69.8%) 1,489 yds, 7.9 ypa, 9 td, 7 int, 93.5 rtg
J Goff – 192/314 (61.1%) 2,367 yds, 7.5 ypa, 11 td, 7 int, 86.8 rtg
K Murray – 186/292 (63.7%) 1,988 yds, 6.8 ypa, 7 td, 4 int, 85.8 rtg
NFCW Rushers (Ranked by Rushing Yards)
C Carson – 159 att, 659 yds, 4.1 ypa, 3 td, 3 fum
M Breida – 84 att, 446 yds, 5.3 ypa, 1 td, 0 fum
T Gurley – 92 att, 355 yds, 3.9 ypa, 6 td, 1 fum
T Coleman – 71 att, 332 yds, 4.7 ypa, 5 td, 0 fum
D Johnson – 77 att, 300 yds, 3.9 ypa, 2 td, 0 fum
What’s changed?
One of Russell’s favorite new targets, DK Metcalf, is making a name for himself as the steal of the 2019 draft. None of the 8 WRs drafted ahead of him has more Yards (402) or more TDs (4), including SF’s Deebo Samuel and AZ’s Andy Isabella. In fact, he has more Yards and more TDs than all of the other NFCW Rookie WRs combined (SEA: G Jennings Jr, J Ursua; SF: D Samuel, J Hurd; AZ: K Johnson, A Isabella, H Butler – These 7 players have combined for 340 yds, 1 TD). Not too shabby, young man!
Let’s see how the stats from DK’s first 8 games stack up against 18 of the greatest WRs ever drafted. A wild Chart appears! Yellow Highlighting, I choose you!
Outstanding! Out of that entire list of HOF/All Pro-type WRs, only a handful of them had more yards through their first 8 games, and only AJ Green and Randy Moss had more TDs. Through their first eight games, Jerry Rice, Sterling Sharpe, Steve Smith, Reggie Wayne, Antonio Brown and Terrell Owens COMBINED for 4 TDs – DK has done that on his own throughout this first half of the 2019 NFL season. If he keeps pace with that combined group, he’ll retire with more than 650 TDs. Only time will tell the tale!!
Gosh I love Charts. Here’s another one:
According to this Knowledge, the Seahawks have the best WR duo in the Division, and it’s not even close. Either that or they have an MVP QB throwing them perfect passes on a nearly-constant basis. Possibly both. Look at SF’s WRs, lol.
My Analysis
The 49ers are still peaking too early, except for Jimmy. He struggles every week, no matter how bad the opponent is. He hasn’t faced a Top 10 Defense this year, and yet he’s only had one game without a turnover. All of this despite the fact that he has a top-notch run game to back him up, and he barely ever gets sacked. Most QBs would consider these to be ideal circumstances to put up big passing performances – or at least game-manage. But Jimmy isn’t most QBs. He’s much worse.
SF’s terrible QB play, sub-par turnover differential and inability to stop the run will likely be their undoing, as soon as they stop winning all of their games.
Elsewhere in the Division, the Rams are much more entertaining when they lose, and the Cardinals ARE WHO WERE THOUGHT THEY WERE!!! *pounds Knowledge Podium*
